On 31 March Partner Luc Frieden was a panellist on a discussion about post-Brexit implications in the financial services sector, an important sector to both Luxembourg and the UK. The online event was organised by the Luxembourg-American Chamber of Commerce in New York (LACC).

On Christmas Eve 2020 a post-Brexit deal on trade and future EU-UK relations was struck, just days before the transition period was scheduled to end. This deal did not, however, cover financial services, but both sides committed to come to a Memorandum of Understanding by the end of March. The panel discussed where the EU and UK stand on this and what it means for the future.
