Like other forms of cancer, childhood cancer has an international symbol, the gold ribbon. Go Gold is a worldwide campaign to raise awareness of childhood cancer. Cancer is the first cause of death by disease in children over the age of one, with 6,000 child deaths each year in Europe. In Luxembourg, the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner cares for more than 190 families every year, 80% of whose children suffer from cancer and 20% from rare diseases.
By lighting up our building we want to demonstrate our dedication to the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner’s cause and our support to the children and their families.
